Trip to Munakata, Kyushu in southern part of Japan

Munakata has attracted attention as a cultural heritage site. In the oldest history book of Japan, it is written that this is the place in which the goddesses born of Amaterasu descended in order to protect this land as a strategic point connecting Japan and the continent. The sunset over the Sea of Genkai is also magnificent. In particular, the “light of the road” seen twice a year so as to overlap with the 2-km road from the sea approaching Miyajidake Shrine, the light of the setting sun forms a straight line. This view is spectacular.
